SITES implements integrated communication actions that complete other actions of projects, by using partecipative tools and dialogue, creating a “relationships” between science, society and policy, oriented towards the topic of scientific study. Communication and dissemination activities are developed as fundamental element in the process of understanding, knowledge sharing and innovation creation, creating multilevel dialogue and bridging the several stances of stakeholders in order to support the policy process by the integration of scientific evidence and social processes.
Within EU Funded Projects, SITES has developed the following activities linked to communication, dissemination and exploitation:
– Networking and Stakeholder dialogue and involvement; organisation of conferences and expositions, knowledge exchange, information services and social learning; dissemination and communication techniques and activities – communication and dissemination planning, management and implementation, web development (design, implementation and management), audiovisual production, design of dissemination materials; Media relations, information campaigns; Community building (social media tools, integrating ICT, social media and smart technology tools with analytical insights); Societal Involvement: methodologies for addressing impact of projects on citizens and civil society, implementing social innovation practices through participatory processes; Making project information and results available to society, the media, policy makers, economic actors.
SITES holds a record of 100 videos, articles and interviews produced on EU research and innovation; SITES has organized, within EU Projects approximately 40 events, among workshops, conferences, networking, b2b & training events.
