SITES Transforms European Project Communication into Meaningful Engagement
Successful European projects require more than scientific excellence. They require visibility, stakeholder engagement, public understanding, and the ability to translate complex research into meaningful societal impact.
At SITES – Sustainable Innovation Technology Services, we believe that communication and dissemination should not be treated as administrative obligations but as strategic instruments for maximizing project impact. Through our support to numerous European-funded initiatives, we have developed an approach that combines communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach into a coherent and results-oriented framework.
A recent example was the VALZEO Workshop and Science Café held in Ancona, Italy, where SITES supported the planning, communication, dissemination, and visibility activities surrounding the event. Rather than focusing solely on event promotion, SITES worked to create an environment that encouraged dialogue between researchers, students, stakeholders, and the wider public.
The workshop showcased innovative research on waste valorisation, circular economy solutions, and sustainable water treatment technologies. Complementing the technical discussions, the Science Café format enabled direct interaction between experts and participants, making scientific knowledge more accessible and engaging.
This approach reflects a broader philosophy that guides SITES’ work across European projects. Effective dissemination is not simply about publishing information; it is about creating opportunities for engagement, knowledge exchange, and long-term collaboration. Through tailored communication strategies, digital outreach, stakeholder mapping, event management, content creation, and impact-driven dissemination activities, SITES helps projects reach audiences beyond the research community.
Our experience spans Horizon Europe, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Erasmus+, EuropeAid, and other international programmes, supporting project coordinators and consortia in achieving their communication, dissemination, and exploitation objectives.
As European projects increasingly seek stronger societal impact, SITES continues to innovate in the design and implementation of Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation (CDE) activities. From workshops and science cafés to stakeholder engagement campaigns, newsletters, social media strategies, and multimedia communication, our goal remains the same: transforming project results into meaningful conversations and lasting impact.
For organizations seeking a reliable partner to lead Work Package 5 activities, SITES offers more than support. We provide strategic communication expertise, innovative engagement methodologies, and a proven commitment to maximizing project visibility and impact across Europe and beyond.
