Sustainable Innovation Technology Services (SITES) proudly participated in the VALZEO Masterclass hosted at Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM), Ancona, Italy, on 20 May 2026, as part of the project’s ongoing dissemination, training, and stakeholder engagement activities under the Horizon Europe framework.
The Masterclass was delivered by Dr. Leonardo Piccinetti, CEO of SITES, and focused on strengthening research and innovation management capacities among PhD students, researchers, and early-career professionals. The session addressed key themes including Horizon Europe proposal development, project management methodologies, the Excellence–Impact–Implementation (EII) framework, and strategies for building successful international research careers and collaborative networks.
The event provided participants with practical insights into European research ecosystems and fostered dialogue between academia, innovation actors, and project stakeholders within the sustainability and circular economy domains.
In parallel, Donatella Santoro carried out a VALZEO secondment activity at UNIVPM linked to WP4 activities, focusing on regulatory framework analysis and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) market analysis. The secondment contributed to advancing project activities related to innovation exploitation, market positioning, and sustainable valorisation strategies for bio-based solutions.
Through its active involvement in communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and research capacity-building activities, SITES continues to support VALZEO’s mission to promote sustainable innovation and strengthen European collaboration in environmental remediation, circular economy, and bio-based technologies.
